aye and it looks alot cheaper to run the gun on also. Plus more per can. I presume weaker or plastic pistols wouldnt cope with it to well though?
It will kill weak pistols, just like Green would.
BTW, its quite smelly...
Yep avoid propane in Tanakas Browing and WA guns for sure
And propane is very dry, so you will need to ensure you keep you gun lubed with silicone spray.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
I may be completely wrong here, but isnt 'red gas' in fact CO2?
Propane and the AI adaptor work great, however, some sites do not allow the use of propane as an airsoft propellant, so bear that in mind.

I don't know about that, but its the first I've heard of it.
Don't think so, red gas is combustible isn't it - someone grab a can and have a look.
Can't say I've come across any site that even mentions gas, let alone specify it. Joule output yes, gas no.

me neither.
thanks for all the info guys. still wrestling as to whether to get a nice gas pistol and deal with the inconveniences associated with them or just buy a AEP and "dress it up" like a ww2 one.
one question Yith is propane as affected by temperatures as the other gasses?
The more powerful gasses are not as badly effected at lower ambient temperatures as the weaker ones.
Have been trying to locate the info to support my thought on Red being CO2, can't find it All i have found would suggest i am wrong, my bad.
Ground Zero ban propane on the site. If you are found to be using propane you are automatically asked to leave. I have been informed that it is due to the insurance company the site uses refusing to provide cover for a flammable gas for airsoft. This is despite the fact that propane was also used as a refrigerant, & chemically it is almost exactly the same as green gas, go figure.

heh... some tests show that Green gas is Propane.
Also I remember reading that all the gases are flammable... lol
